Leadership at PKF Valuation of Property: 6 qualities of an effective leader

2022.10.04

On June 14, the first module online session of Performance Management was held, organized by PKF International in cooperation with the American company The GroGroup, which helps consulting firms improve the efficiency of their operations.

This professional development event was part of the PKF Leadership Academy project, which involves leaders from the PKF International network, including Oleg Chesnokov, head of the PKF Valuation of Property group of companies.

During the session, the importance of leadership behavior was discussed, and recommendations were given on how to become a positive role model for one’s team, contributing to the creation of a more efficient team and the overall success of the company. Six key leadership qualities were highlighted:

  1. Self-awareness The ability to honestly and constructively reflect on one’s behavior and the impact it has on others.
  2. Positive attitude Negative people pull down those who work with them, while a positive mindset can boost energy, readiness to act, and team spirit.
  3. Humility Being honest when you don’t know what to do, gladly asking questions, and learning. Such leaders easily motivate others in their development, trust their team, and do not hide behind their experience or position.
  4. Empathy Understanding the emotional needs of the team through mindful listening and awareness of employees, which fosters trust within the team.
  5. Professionalism Commitment to performing work at the highest standards, as well as showing honesty and respect toward others.
  6. Integrity Demonstrating honesty in actions, which is likely to encourage employees to respond with trust.

These qualities help leaders inspire their teams, achieve ambitious goals, and build a strong foundation for the company’s growth. PKF Valuation of Property strives for all group company leaders to embody these qualities.
