PKF Global Gathering 2024

PKF Global colleagues from around the world convened in Seoul from November 11 to 15, 2024, for the annual PKF Global Gathering. The event was vibrant and engaging, and we are excited to share some of our highlights from this remarkable experience.

Audit, Tax, and Corporate Finance
Delegates from various countries participated in a panel discussion on the PKF Audit Identity Project, a collaborative initiative by PKF member firms aimed at enhancing audit services. With client experience at its core, the project seeks to showcase the strengths and global reach of the network’s audit offering. This highly interactive session saw participants sharing ideas to drive the project forward.
Our tax advisory colleagues attended a practical session led by Gavin West of PKF Smith Cooper on “Boosting Business Growth with VAT Strategy.” Using a real-life case study, Gavin explained how the firm adapted and expanded its services to address broader advisory needs for a specific client. Furthermore, he introduced a business development tool developed by PKF Smith Cooper, now accessible to us at “PKF Valuation of Property” to promote comprehensive services to our clients.
The global Corporate Finance team hosted an engaging workshop focused on future strategy. Team members shared updates, success stories, and explored technological trends shaping the future of corporate finance services.

Event Highlights
One of the week’s most inspiring sessions was the CSR-focused presentation “Living Our Values.” Antony Ranjan, Managing Partner at PKF Zambia, discussed how member firms are uniting to “be the change,” living our values to the fullest and working together to address the environmental and social needs of their communities.
Franck Glédel (PKF Arsilon), André Simmack (PKF Wulf Gruppe), and Raoul Kelly (PKF Durban) shared their experiences from this summer’s humanitarian mission to Zambia, where volunteers from their firms provided hands-on support to several charitable programs.
Another significant highlight was the “Leadership and Firm of the Future” session, presented by Julian Laski (PKF Argentina) and Cheryl Burke (PKF O’Connor Davies). Delegates explored the qualities of an effective leader, the impact of leadership approaches, and the importance of fostering teamwork, empathy, and open communication. The speakers highlighted the advantages of collaborative leadership, emphasizing its unique features.

The next Global Gathering is scheduled to take place in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, from October 28 to 31, 2025.
