Forbes ranking of the 50 largest private companies in Kazakhstan for 2021
2022.08.12This year, Forbes Kazakhstan published its ranking of the 50 largest private companies in Kazakhstan for the year 2021.
The ranking includes companies operating in Kazakhstan whose owners are citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and hold at least 50% ownership. It also includes companies whose founders later changed citizenship.
Financial organizations — such as banks, insurance, leasing, and investment companies — were excluded from the ranking due to significant differences in their business models and accounting methods.
More than 200 companies were initially reviewed. The selection was based on 2020 revenue figures. In addition to revenue, the amount of taxes paid over the year and the number of employees were also considered.
The information used in the evaluation was collected from public sources or provided directly by the companies themselves. When data was unavailable, Forbes.kz made its own estimations.
